This article is very pertinent to me as I'm going to speak to my landlord tomorrow about my next year's rent. I've found the ONS article with the Feb to Feb 4.7% rise but can't locate the main study you allude to. Do you have a link for that, please ? Thanks.
9% rise for me so not too bad looking at the numbers in the ONS reports :) Plus I'm lucky to have a really nice and helpful landlord so that is worth a few quid in itself.

Of course, it slipped our mind to actually include the link in the piece! Here you go — there’s a London specific section midway down, or you can dig in the spreadsheets they attach. Good luck speaking to your landlord! https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/housing/articles/changesinprivaterentalsectorbehaviourengland/february2022tofebruary2023
